[0.1] Model development

Model

Build models for real tasks.

Train and refine individual AI models for the task at hand.

Explore Model

01 Overview

A model shaped by the problem it solves.

Start with the task, the inputs it will see, and the outputs you need. Use real examples to refine the model and judge whether it is ready to become part of a larger system.

Training examples are used to train a model. A separate set of held-out examples goes directly to evaluation to test the trained model.

02 Capabilities

Build around a measurable task.

  • Prepare examples

Gather representative inputs and define what a correct response looks like.

  • Train and refine

Use the examples to adapt a model to the task and compare successive versions.

  • Evaluate performance

Check results on held-out data and use failure cases to guide the next iteration.

03 Workflow

From examples to a model you can test.

  1. Define the task

Agree on inputs, expected outputs, and acceptance criteria.

  2. Run experiments

Train candidates and record what changes between runs.

  3. Review the results

Choose a model version and document where it performs well and where it needs more work.
